About Tedder’s Random Notes

Thank you for visiting my blog. I was encouraged by friends and relatives to begin this blog after they heard me ranting and raving at the nightly TV news. People in my kitchen who listened to me complain about the lack of commonsense and integrity in the world suggested that I should share my thoughts with the rest of the planet. I tend to be calmer online with my writing. I am enjoying blogging.

As you can see from my recent posts, I am interested in and write about a variety of different things.

Please feel free to leave a comment or just send me an email.  I want to know what you think. I am also interested in where you live.  If you could mention that, I would appreciate it. I  am fascinated how people all over the world are connecting and sharing through blogs and websites.

For many years, my father, Howard Tedder, wrote a popular daily column in the Trentonian newspaper in Trenton, New Jersey. The column was called “Howard Tedder’s Random Notes”. If he were alive today, he would be amazed at blogging on the internet and how you can reach people all over the world. He would be a blogger too.

I live with my wonderful wife Mary Lynn in beautiful Washington County New York.

You can contact me at john dot h dot tedder @gmail dot com. (replace dot with a period .) Thank you.

So that’s where you’ve been hiding all these years. Hope all is well up there

Barbara, I’ve only been here since 2005. I lived in Hamilton until then, except for June 99 to May of 2000. I’m guessing that you are somewhere in central NJ because you saw my ad on Craigslist. Things could be better, but I am not going to complain. It’s all a great adventure. What are you up to?

Hi John. I knew your Dad both from the column and the Bookstore. I miss being able to go out to Hamilton Square and “solve the worlds problems” yapping with Howard.
What a nice man your Dad was:)

Thanks Mike. I appreciate the comments.

Hello Mr. Tedder. Greetings from Palm Desert, California. I see that we have some things in common besides our family name. Also some differences which are the spice of life so it is said. I’ll just nose around a bit on your site. Have agreat day!

Thanks for saying hello John. Write back when you get a chance about the things in common and the differences. Thanks for letting me know you are from Palm Desert, California. I like to know where people are from. I have never been to California, but it is on my list of places to visit. I have been to Nevada, Arizona and Colorado.

    Hello John,

Here on the other side of the world, I found your blog this morning while searching for references to John Denver’s song “What One Man Can Do”. I was glad to find your explanation about his having written it about Buckminster Fuller, another admirable man.

I also enjoyed reading your blog about Larry Lewis and the RelationsShop. I had a similar experience years ago when I attended a weekend workshop called “The Human Touch”, at the end of which we were each ‘given’ a song by the course co-ordinators. My song was “What One Man Can Do” – big shoes to fill!

I’ll be back to read more. Best wishes to and yours,
    Kevin Turner
